Data Protection Training launch of new service

LNDS launches Data Protection e-Learning

In today’s digital world, Data Protection Training stands as a crucial e-learning resource, aligned with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). After rigorous development work, LNDS is proud to announce the Data Protection e-Learning modules, as an additional service to support value creation from secondary use of data. Specifically designed for employees in the public sector, and helpful for anyone managing personal data, this course is made to give insights into GDPR principles, practical examples, and avoid common pitfalls.

What is the Data Protection Training?

Data Protection Training is a modular e-learning tool supporting application of data protection law in the context of the secondary use of data and in general focused on the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It provides comprehensive learning materials encompassing fundamental and advanced principles concerning data protection, with a specific emphasis on examples pertinent to professionals in the public sector, researchers, and individuals tasked with managing personal data. The curriculum addresses legal requirements, key GDPR principles, practical illustrations, and prevalent errors.

The training is split into two courses; GDPR Basics and GDPR Advanced, which are divided into modules. Each module incorporates interactive elements designed to enhance participant engagement and comprehension. Following completion of each module, participants have the opportunity to assess their progress through fun activities and a quick quiz at the end. As an e-learning training, it fits well into your busy schedule, making learning about data privacy easy and relevant. You decide the pace and where you learn!

Why is Data Protection Training necessary?

Anyone who processes personal data within an organisation should complete a GDPR training. Adequate training ensures that employees understand their data protection responsibilities. By demonstrating commitment to compliance, organisations reduce the risk of infringement of individuals’ privacy rights. Failure to do so could result in legal breaches, leading to fines.

For whom do the courses fit?

We have designed the Data Protection Training to accommodate a broad audience, from absolute beginners, all the way to an advanced researchers. The modules are specifically designed for employees in the public sector who handle personal data as part of their daily responsibilities, as well as researchers. Thanks to the modular learning, the courses fit well for people with busy schedules. You can accommodate the time and place of learning, to complete the courses at your own pace.

Everyone interested in learning more about data protection is welcome to enrol to the courses. For specialists in the field, such as Data Protection officers (DPOs) we provide a dedicated GDPR Working Group. Additionally, we welcome both DPOs and public sector professionals to join our upcoming seminar on the AI-Act and other AI-related guidelines.
